Where communications is critical you will find a CAT5 Network intercom system.
CAT5 Network Intercom systems can be broadly categorised as analogue or IP-based (digital), this is normally referring to the system technology employed. Analogue systems tend to be wired using twisted pair cable. Traditionally, 1-pair or 2-pair telephone type cable (typically to BT spec. CW1308) was used to connect each user intercom station to the central exchange equipment. However, with the advent of wired computer networks came an abundance of Cat5/6 cable which features 4 twisted pairs and which may also be used to provide connectivity for one or more analogue intercom user stations. The wired intercom provides very reliable service with very little down time due to network communications issues. And
as digital transformation sweeps through every industry, the attack surface grows dramatically (and constantly), making security management increasingly difficult. Security teams struggle to keep up with the deluge of alerts and other information generated by their multitude of security devices. And the cybersecurity skills gap only makes this more difficult. Having a SIEM software reduces the complexity of managing network and security operations to effectively free resources, improve breach detection, and even prevent breaches.
